AQA Reading Exam Question Practice - Spanish GCSE - Foundation - Theme 3

(0)
This booklet HAS NOT yet been updated to feature the content of the new AQA specification and therefore SHOULD NOT be confused with the new Theme 3 content. Updated booklets with the new topics for the 2026 specification are in the works and will be available soon. You have a breakdown below of what topics this booklet covers. This is a comprehensive exam practice booklet that covers Theme 3 of the AQA GCSE Spanish exam to prepare Foundation students for their READING component. Theme 1 and 2 bookleta are already available in the shop! This booklet contains 30 in-depth questions like multiple choice, answer in English, T/F/NM, Translations, V/F/NM, P/N/P+N and many others in order to get students used to to the format of the exam without the pressure of a mock or a real paper in front of them. I designed this booklet as close to the real thing as possible because we all have students that panic just at the sight of a paper that looks like an exam and this is a great way to help them through their fears and allow them to get accustomed to the format of the exam without any marks or target grades. The booklet covers the following subtopics of Theme 3: School subjects (4x tasks) Teachers (3x) School facilities (2x) School rules (4x) Primary vs Secondary (2x) Life at school (2x) Daily Routine (3x) Work experience (3x) Post 16 (1x) Gap year experience (1x) University life (1x), Jobs / Careers (4x) This workbook can be used for cover lessons, homework, summer project for Y10s or as exam revision material to prepare for the GCSEs. Additionally, the workbook comes with an extra booklet that has all the answers provided for each task so you can help students check their work or simply use them in your PPTs to discuss the answers. ***Both booklets come as separate PDFs. **Please note this is the 3rd booklet of a series of 6 for this component of the GCSE. Each theme will have a booklet and each tier will have their set of booklets suitable to their level. The next booklet you can expect is Theme 1 (Higher) Reading Practice that should be in the shop soon, however if you’re interested I also have a Theme 1 and Theme 2 one for foundation available already in the same format. European Day of Languages Worksheet

(0)
This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to celebrate European Day of Languages. It can be used in any subject as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about the event, but also as a tutor activity that can be done with students during registration. Students must place the countries given in the list on the map, but you can also add cities or extra countries, if you’d like to extend the activity. You could also get students to colour in the countries with the corresponding flags they have. The worksheet can be used in different ways according to your needs and your learning objectives. It shouldn’t take students more than 10-15 minutes to complete and if you’d like to expand the activity further you could always show them how some of these amazing places look through a Google search. You will receive a PDF copy of the worksheet with ANSWERS included. I’ve made sure there is a black and white version as well as coloured one depending on your printer. You can also find a European Day of Languages Quiz in my shop if you’d like to dedicate an entire lesson to exploring Europe. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/european-day-of-languages-quiz-12723633
GCSE Spanish Verb Conjugation Booklet
SenoritaDiSenoritaDi

GCSE Spanish Verb Conjugation Booklet

(0)
This is a 70-page document that will help your students master verb conjugations in the present, preterite, imperfect, future, and conditional tenses. Each tense is explained and has the corresponding endings present before students begin practicing the conjugations in that particular time tense. As you know, there are exceptions to every rule so there are many irregular verbs present but the majority of the verbs in this booklet are of high-frequency and recommeded to be studied by the AQA guidance. In each tense students have over 50 verbs to conjugate. These verbs are the same for each tense. There are also empty pages where you can give students the verbs you would like them to practice or use those pages as a grammar check when you want to test knowledge. The verb conjugation booklet is FULLY EDITABLE and comes with an ANSWER booklet attached which contains all the conjugations you will be asking of your students for an easy process of checking their answers. This workbook can be used for cover lessons, homework, summer project for Y10s or as exam revision material to prepare for the GCSEs.
Spanish Free Time Revision Worksheet

Spanish Free Time Revision Worksheet

(0)
This is a vocabulary practice worksheet on Free Time with 5 activities and an answer key at the end. For the writing task I have provided a model answer as the task is subjective to the student. This is aimed at KS3 but could easily be used for lower sets at GCSE and as a revision task for those on the Foundation tier who need to revise the present tense and this key vocabulary. I had a lot of fun creating these actvities and am curious of how people have found it. Please let me know!

This resource is a revision lesson for year 8s using the Viva 2 module 2 structure that can be used as an hour-long game with your class. Divide you class in teams (I had 4 or 5 children in each) and get them to work independently as well as together to find the answers for each activity. The lesson encompasses all the four skills and was used to prepare children before their assessments. Children will have the spirit of competition during the entire hour and will actually be revising at the same time! Hope you enjoy it.

Revision board game for GCSE Spanish (Theme 2-AQA)
SenoritaDiSenoritaDi

Revision board game for GCSE Spanish (Theme 2-AQA)

(0)
This is an exciting revision board game designed to help students practice vocabulary from Theme 2 of the AQA GCSE spec. I’ve used this type of game successfully and students loved a bit of healthy competition amongst their classmates. The topics included in the game are: home, healthy living, social issues, global issues, travel and tourism. This is an amazing activity to practice vocab as well as get students working with others and be independent. Since the referee holds all the answers you can walk around the room and listen to the students using the TL as well as take a break if you need to! I’m a fan of anything that gets the kids working on their own whilst having some fun too. So, please enjoy and any feedback would be appreciated! Instructions: The game should be played in groups of 4-5 with one person being the referee. Each group gets a copy of the game and the referee gets a copy of the answers, which nobody else should see! You will need a dice so players can move through the game. One dice per group should be enough. The younger player goes first and starts the game . The first player to pass the finish line wins. Players cannot advance if they cannot translate the sentences they have fallen onto in the opposite language. They will have to stay in the same place if their answer doesn´t match the referees answer sheet and wait for another turn until they roll the dice again and hopefully get a different number. The referee is allowed to give small hints if the person is struggling (e.g. It starts with the letter T…). The game can last up to 30 minutes and is a great way for students to practice the vocabulary learnt. *** I usually give my students a small piece of paper in the shape of a square to use as a token and move along in the game. I make them write their initials on the square so if they are the same colour they don’t get mixed up with the others.

Day of the Dead Worksheet

(0)
This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to celebrate Day of the Dead. It can be used as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about Día de Los Muertos. Students must match the words provided in Spanish with the body parts they represent, filling in the boxes. If you’d like to extend the activity you could allow students to colour in the skeletons whilst talking to them about Day of the Dead traditions and customs. This is a fun retrieval activity for the human body parts that comes with a hint of culture and it shouldn’t take students more than 10 minutes to complete. You will receive a PDF copy of the worksheet with ANSWERS included. You can also find a Day of Dead Quiz in my shop if you’d like to dedicate an entire lesson to exploring the customs of this holiday. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/day-of-the-dead-quiz-12747942

Exit Tickets AQA GCSE Spanish (Speaking Questions)

Exit Tickets AQA GCSE Spanish (Speaking Questions)

(0)
This is an excellent resource to use for revision of the three themes at GCSE level without planning. I use these exit tickets at the end of the lesson and give each student a different one every time. They must do what the card asks them to do whether it be answering a question, posing a question or simply talking about a given topic freely. There are 60 exit tickets covering all three themes available! These exit tickets are super quick and since they cover a variety of topics they can be used in numerous lessons especially to freshen up the students’ minds. The students must think of an answer and verbalize it thus practicing their pronunciation but also their spontaneity to answering such questions. We all know their speaking exams want natural conversations and through these they can practice and work on those skills. PLUS they can also use their answers for their WRITING PAPER. It’s a win win! Any feedback would be appreciated!

European Day of Languages (Spanish) Activity Booklet

European Day of Languages (Spanish) Activity Booklet

(0)
This European Day of Languages (Spanish) Activity booklet is my go-to resource for EDL. I created this resource because as much as I tried I couldn’t find something to suit my Spanish lessons for European Day of Languages. I wanted something that immersed students into the importance of the event, but also coincided with my method of teaching Spanish. The booklet is suitable for a KS3 Spanish lesson solely around European Day of Languages but can also be used for KS4 to raise awareness about this important event. The booklet contains the following: Vocabulary building activities, listening, reading, and writing tasks as well as ANSWERS to each activity at the end of the booklet. All activities are based on a sentence builder I created for European Day of Languages and the majority can be done independently. Some activities can be subjective so I have given you some suggested answers to offer students some guidance on how a task should have been approached or to use them as examples before letting students start the work. I wanted to incorporate as many skills as possible in this and for teachers to have freedom over the activities they choose to do. You can do some of them or all of them, it’s up to you! As this includes a sentence builder, the activities are very Conti style so you will have things like matching words up, filling in the gap, finding words/expressions in a text as well as guided writing with some prompts. The listening tasks DO NOT INCLUDE recordings, as I usually do my own listenings in the classroom. In the answers section you will find everything you need to run the activities in the listening part so, no need to worry! I’ve often found students respond better to sentences said by me as they are familiar with my voice, accent and pronunciation. Plus, all the activities are based on the SB so, I didn’t want students to be overwhelmed by the amount of new language. This booklet is ideally aimed at KS3 but it can absolutely be used with lower KS4 sets. The are plenty of activities which should take you at least 1h to go through. You can also give it as homework if you’d like. *You will receive a PDF version of this booklet so no changes can be made for copyright reasons. If you’re also interested in a European Day of Languages Quiz that can be used across the board, please click the link below: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/european-day-of-languages-quiz-12723633
San Valentín - Valentine's Day Activity Bundle
SenoritaDiSenoritaDi

San Valentín - Valentine's Day Activity Bundle

(0)
This a bundle of activities for San Valentín suitable for KS3 and lower ability groups at KS4. If you’re looking for activities that will take your students through the 4 core skills of Spanish, this bundle is for you! It includes the following activities: Highlighter race Vocab match up Categorisation of nouns, adjectives, and verbs relating to San Valentín Mindreader/Bingo 2x Translation Pyramids (1x in Spanish, 1x in English) Writing Task (has a writing strip that students can follow to write a Valentine’s Day letter) Listening Task (no audio provided - teacher must read aloud and students fill in the gaps) Reading Tasks (Q&A and translation of a text) Speaking Task (survey-like exercise) Crossword (PDF non-editable) Word search (PDF (non-editable) The activities have teacher instructions where needed, in the notes section of each slide in the PPT. Answers are also provided for all tasks except the speaking task, translation pyramid, writing task, and highlighter race. The reason for this is the nature of these activities and the subjectivity of some tasks. To help with these though, students are provided with a sentence builder and an extra vocab sheet. I also encourage the use of dictionaries as well, just in case. Please note this is not a lesson but a series of activities for you to pick from for each of your classes. You might want to dedicate more or less time to talking about San Valentín but whichever task you choose, students will be able to work on them with the support provided in the SB and vocab sheet. All tasks except the crossword and word search are in a PPT format so they can be edited to your liking :) If you purchase this bundle and are happy with the resources, I’d be really grateful if you could leave a review with any feedback!

1.3 Las Relaciones Familiares (New AQA GCSE Spanish)

This is the third lesson of Unit 1 (Identity & relationships with others) in the People and Lifestyle Theme of the new AQA GCSE 2026 Spanish spec. You will find the following in this PPT: sentence builder of key vocabulary grammar explanations and practice reading activity translation listening & speaking practice (no audio provided - teacher must read out texts provided to students) This lesson doesn’t contain the activities from the new AQA book. They are different from what you will find in the book but I did follow a similar structure in terms of content. The activities in the book are also well-planned and if you have access to them, I recommend using them in your lessons along with the activities created by me. I have also uploaded in my shop lessons 1,2, and 4 of this unit and a bundle in case you want to buy all of them at a discount!
